G.E.M. Anscombe (1919–2001): British analytic philosopher. Noted for her work in philosophy of action, ethics, and philosophy of mind. Influential works include "Intention" (1957) and contributions to virtue ethics. Played a pivotal role in the revival of Thomistic philosophy.
